THERE'S A PIG IN MY CLASSROOM

DESCRIPTION

Grades: 3rd – 6th Grade
Duration: 45 minute virtual experience followed by a 50 - 90 minute lesson plan

Hosted by the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center and sponsored by the LEAP Foundation, There’s a Pig in My Classroom is a virtual program designed to teach students in grades 3-6 where and how pork gets to their plate.

Students will learn about how pigs are raised on the farm, production terminology, and purchasing pork in the grocery store. This program and additional lessons are designed around 3rd-6th grade standards. We do provide different worksheets for the live session for K-8 please use whichever worksheet best suits your class.
